App froze twice after masking
I was unable to continue editing after masking as the app froze and I had to shut it down and reopen it. It happened on two successive tries. I made sure no other apps were open hogging resources. I gave it one more try but didn't mask the entire area I wanted as masking is VERY cumbersome in Meld -- would love to see magic wand, radial and linear gradient masking tools as well as undo -- and the third try with only minor masking worked fine.

Can you please tell us the following:
1.) DEVICE MAKE & MODEL:
What exact device are you working on?
2.) OS VERSION:
What software version is your device running?
3.) HOW MANY LAYERS AND MASKS?
Did you have max layers and a mask for each of those layers?
4.) WHAT WAS YOUR EXPORT SIZE?
Where you using the default or a larger export size?
5.) ANY OTHER DETAILS:
Is there anything else you can tell us about the bug that may help?
The masking system is a unique beast that once mastered is quite powerful but we can see how it can seem quite cumbersome to use. We are looking at ways to making this better for everyone. Please let us know what kind of masking system would work best for you or has done so in the past?
Yes, features to come will be magic wand and various styles of gradient masks.
Thank you for your feedback
- iPad Air
- 7.1.2
- 3 layers, middle layer with large mask of subject leaving background unmasked

- In order to get the masking precise, it took MANY mask/erase steps and much too long to accomplish with the current very limited masking brush. Perhaps it was the extensive and sequential mask/erase steps that overtaxed something. On my third attempt I did a very minor amount of masking as a test and the app did not freeze on that try.
There are two apps that handle masking in very different ways that I find to be very precise and VERY fast, making short work of the tedious job of masking to get me immediately back to creating:Both Leonardo and PS TOuch a re full blown editing suites that Meld is not - though we appreciate their feature set and will strive to deliver tools that people want. Thanks
